Building was built in 1907 as a home by the first NMSU President, Hiram Hadley. The building was acquired by the Cutters in 1990 and it was name to the New Mexico Cultural Registry in 1990—restoration completed in 1993.
In 1907, upon his retirement from the University, Hiram Hadley built this yellow brick house on 15 acres of farmland. He lived here with his wife, Katherine until his death in 1922. The property was purchased in 1936 by Russell Ludwick of the State Dept. of Agriculture. He established a nursery here, and his family stayed in the home until 1974. At that time the property was purchased by Randy Farmer and Don Dyer. The Dyers lived here and it later became the home of two fraternities until 1990.
